212: The Necessity of Fitness & Self Defense with Ronnie Allen

Ronnie Allen, founder of Be Elite Fitness (B.E. Fitness), is an enthusiastic physical fitness professional from Brooklyn, New York. In addition to more than 10 years of personal fitness regimen training, Allen boasts an impressive 24 year martial arts background that includes Jeet Kune Do and Ninjitsu seminars with martial art greats Sifu Dan Insanto and Grand Master Ronald Duncan respectively, as well as, expert instructor in Israeli Krav Maga under David Khan (IKMA). Currently a Blue Belt In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Dan Covel. Trained in T.U.F Level 1 under Heru Neket. Ronnie also performed as a stunt extra in the Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises”, is an avid boxing and MMA fan, and a lover of sports in general.

Ronnie launched B.E. Fitness in 2010 with the goal of providing all encompassing health, wellness and fitness services, in one place, for any and every “body”. Known to friends and family as simply, “Ronnie”, he successfully supports his clients in achieving their physical fitness goals with the perfect blend of encouragement, humor, discipline and a results-focused approach.

Ronnie has built a foundation of discipline, perseverance, and determination which he also demands from his clients. He firmly believes in efficiency, proper technique, and having the right mindset. His fitness philosophy is simple: “build your body strong so that it can weather any storm”. Ronnie's clients include athletes, execs, and celebrities.

Ronnie's expertise includes post-rehabilitation training, weight/resistance training, cardiovascular/aerobic training, boxing and kickboxing, plus circuit, cross, interval training, Russian Kettlebell and TRX training.. He currently trains clients: Independent Training Spot in New York City. Currently teaching weekly group classes for Virtual Fitness League.

In addition to personal training, Ronnie’s expertise extends into fitness-related public speaking and writing. Ronnie presents lectures on staying fit and healthy to audiences of all ages. He is currently working on his “50 and Up” lecture and workout serious, assisting that age group in living more fulfilling lives and reducing the amount of medications they need to take. Ronnie is the key note speaker on teen health and wellness for “Blue Nile” and writer for the “Alpha Fashion Magazine” Health and Wellness column.
