Quinoa had become very popular over the years. As popular as it has become there are still many people who have either never heard of Quinoa or have never tried it.
Quinoa, pronounced Keen-wah is classified as a grain but technically it is more of a seed and it is packed with nutrients such as protein, B Vitamins, Fiber and loads of minerals.
We like Quinoa because it does not disrupt digestion like most of the other grains and it is gluten free. When you are trying to repair you digestive system Quinoa is the only acceptable grain. Here is a old time adapted Chinese food favorite but instead of Vegetable Fried Rice it uses Qunioa (recipe taken from www.skinnyms.com)

Ingredients
- 1 cup pre-rinsed quinoa
- 2 cups bone broth vegetable broth, optional chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil
- 1 cup finely diced carrots
- 1/2 cup minced green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
- 2 eggs, beaten (omit for vegetarian)
- Kosher or sea salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons lite soy sauce, Optional Gluten-Free soy sauce, Tamari or Bragg Liquid Aminos, more or less to taste. </li
