Why You Should Do a Spring Detox

Often, so many people are unclear or mislead about what detoxification actually is. To help you understand, we’ve laid out a simple way for you to relearn what it’s really about.

The purpose of this blog post, is to inform you on what detoxification is, reasons you may need to get one and when you should consider completing one.

So, what is detoxification?

Well, in short, detoxification is a way for the body to cleanse itself of toxicity.

What does that mean?

It means that the body is designed to detox itself. The main important organs of detoxification consist of: the intestines, the lungs, the kidneys, the skin and lastly, the liver.

So, you may be asking yourself, “If my body is designed to detox itself, why do I need to detox?”

The answer to that question is this; when the body remains under stress for significant amounts of time from your day-to-day lifestyle and contact with toxicity (like from unhealthy food, substances, the environment, chemical based products, etc.), it becomes unable to cleanse itself naturally because the body is overwhelmed and distressed. Unfortunately, the byproduct of a toxic body leads to unwanted health challenges, such as: obesity, premature aging, poor skin and even cancer.

What can you do to combat this?

Well, the only way to rid yourself of the toxicity is to detox. Cleansing your body every change of season is the most ideal and optimal way to efficiently support the body’s natural cleansing process and as a result, keep your body clean, balanced and toxicity-free.

The question now becomes, what should you do?

To keep your body flowing naturally, you should consider partaking in 1 of the 4 detoxes that occur year round that range from 7 to 21 days.

Every change of season is geared specifically towards a different organ and in the springtime, it’s usually geared towards the liver and gallbladder. The main function of the liver is to detoxify the blood, the same blood that reaches every place in the body. The main function of the gallbladder is to store and secrete bile, which will affect the way in which you digest fats and in return disrupt your bowel regularity.

Ultimately, after a long winter of eating heavy foods, the spring is the perfect time to renew and refresh your body by manually detoxing, so that you help your body to do it automatically, by cleansing.

This will surely jumpstart your overall health in the right direction and even help shed unwanted weight. The benefits are plentiful!
